The undeniable calmness of Sadhana

Today I had a client. Let’s call her Sanjeevani (name changed due to privacy). As she showed up on the screen (it was an online session), I sensed a certain degree of calm on her face. As if, life played its game by throwing challenges at her in the past, and yet she came out of it stronger and wiser. After being mesmerised by her serenity for a few seconds, an undeniable calmness, I wondered what could she be doing to become the soul that she is today. Well, the answer unfolded in the session and can’t be disclosed here in entirety.

(I know, by now you are rolling your eyes thinking will she disclose anything at all!)

There is a reason why I am sharing it with you all. What went on the session is directly connected to Sadhana. It doesn’t matter which Sadhana specifically, because every Sadhana done right for a long time, has its lasting impact on an individual and she is the living proof of that.

It changes something inside you, sometimes, without you realising it. You walk with a sense of knowing that you are provided for, protected and cherished by the divine. The other thing that one becomes sure of is that, human relations and promises may come to an end but a divine relationship developed/nurtured over a period of time is eternal.

When you connect to the source, it is but natural that you start to become that power itself. It happens slowly and gradually, but what matters is that it DOES!

Virtues like patience, forgiveness, compassion, are a given then. They start to grow in your conscience like seeds sprout on watering. Material gains, you ask? Well, that’s the least Devi Maa can bless you with. Note my words, LEAST.

But here is the thing, if you seek only Her, really just Her, then she will give you something beyond your imagination. Something unfathomable for your mind. After all, she is the mother of the universe and as it’s mentioned in Maa Lalita’s Sahasranaama- Srimata, Srimaharagyi, Srimatsinhasanehswari ……..She is the empress of many millions of universes like ours. A mother never denies the child of toys, gives away freely, forgives easily and loves dearly. And when you seek Her truly, desperately, with a child-like innocence, she takes a form and comes to you, and remains with you forever! (Ref: my Guru, Sri Om Swami’s experience of Her prakatya, available on YouTube.) Then you live in this world with the highest wisdom and up to your highest potential. Fearless, fierce and yet calm!

Sadhana makes it possible. You just have to persevere. When you do it with sincerity and integrity, all divine beings come in your support to make it happen. And that’s why I wrote this today to bring to you the importance of it. Afterall, life is a precious gift, choose wisely.

I pray that whosoever reads this article ventures on the path of Sadhana.
